Embark on our de France Cycling Retreat from July 13th–19th in Luz Saint Sauveur and ride from the sunny hills to the misty mountains of the Pyrenees. STAGE 1: MASTER THE MIGHTY COL DU TOURMALET

Experience the thrill of the Col du Tourmalet from Luz Saint Sauveur via Voie Laurent Fignon—a must-ride in the French Pyrenees. This iconic 16.3 km ascent treats you to beautiful scenery and 14 exhilarating hairpin turns as you conquer 1401 vertical meters with an average gradient of 7.7%. Boasting a difficulty score of 1124, it’s ranked as the #62 toughest climb in France and holds the #50 spot for most elevation gain, culminating at an altitude of 2115 meters above sea level.

STAGE 3: DOMINATE HAUTCAM

Prepare for an all-out battle against one of the most notorious climbs in the French Pyrenees—Hautacam. This 13.6 km ascent from Argelès-Gazost will push you to the limit with an average gradient of 7.8% and a staggering elevation gain of 1,200 meters. Unlike the steady rhythm of other climbs, Hautacam is unpredictable—throwing steep ramps and ever-changing gradients your way, demanding both power and mental resilience.

Reaching the summit at 1,520 meters, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views and the ultimate sense of achievement. A true test for any cyclist, Hautacam is where champions are made.

    Arrive in Luz-Saint-Sauveur and retreat to a 1700s Bergerie, where comfort meets the charm of the Pyrenees. Nestled in a picturesque mountain setting, your stay offers a serene and refined atmosphere—perfect for unwinding before your exhilarating cycling adventure begins. Before the rides begin, take time to unwind and prepare for an unforgettable week of legendary climbs, recovery and mobility sessions, and soak in the excitement Tour de France excitement.

    Each day, you’ll fuel up with coffee and breakfast, challenge yourself with iconic ascents, and restore your body with mobility training, yoga, and hydrotherapy. The week culminates in a special experience—watching the Tour de France finish at Hautacam.

    Before the ride, mobility training helps prepare your body for the day’s challenge, followed by a nourishing breakfast to fuel your ascent. Then, it’s time to take on one of cycling’s most legendary climbs—the Col du Tourmalet.

    Our cycling adventure begins in Luz-Saint-Sauveur, where we ensure your bike fitting is perfected for the week of adventure ahead.

    Starting from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, you’ll wind your way up 16 kilometers, gaining 1,500 meters in elevation with an average gradient of 7.4%, reaching the summit at 2,116 meters above sea level. The ride is nothing short of exhilarating, with breathtaking views and a sense of achievement that only the Tour de France’s most iconic climb can offer.

    After a triumphant descent, return to your accommodations and indulge in recovery sessions and hydrotherapy, allowing your muscles to unwind after the effort. As the evening settles in, enjoy a French cuisine, celebrating the first day of your Pyrenean adventure.
